Good Morning,
A recent BBC article highlighted something many of us at Headway Sussex see every day: employment can become unstable after a brain injury. Returning to work isn’t just about recovering physically; the invisible effects of a brain injury, like fatigue, memory difficulties, or trouble concentrating, can make staying in a job challenging.
At Headway Sussex, we support people as they navigate these challenges. Everyone’s journey is different, some return to their old roles, some adapt to new ones, and some take time away from work to focus on recovery.
One way we offer support is through our Fortnightly Futures Group. This is a designated space where clients can talk openly about workplace issues, share experiences, and gain practical advice in a supportive environment.
đź’¬Have you ever experienced difficulties at work following a brain injury?
We know many people face barriers in the workplace that are hard to overcome.
💙 You’re not alone.
Headway Sussex is here to offer support, advice, and a listening ear whenever it’s needed.
Headway UK also has useful guidance here: Returning to Work
With best wishes,
The Headway Sussex Team
