A Brilliant Visit from Burgess Hill Girls’ Psychology Students

Dear Supporter,
We were so pleased to recently welcome the fantastic students from the Psychology Department at Burgess Hill Girls to our Newick Hub.
There is always such a great energy when young people visit, and this group was no exception. Curious, thoughtful, and full of brilliant questions, they really brought the space to life.
During their time with us, they explored the work we do at Headway Sussex and gained a deeper understanding of how we support people living with brain injury to rebuild confidence and independence.
We feel very lucky to have such a strong and growing relationship with Burgess Hill Girls. Their Psychology Department consistently goes above and beyond to help students connect what they learn in the classroom with real experiences and real people.
And it does not stop there. The students have also been busy raising funds for us through their much loved hot chocolate sales. A simple idea that brings warmth in more ways than one. Not only do these efforts raise vital funds, they also help spread awareness and spark important conversations about brain injury.
Partnerships like this mean the world to us. They help us reach more people, inspire future generations, and continue building a kinder and more understanding community.
A huge thank you to all the students and staff at Burgess Hill Girls for your enthusiasm, support, and generosity. We cannot wait to welcome you back again soon.
With best wishes,
The Headway Sussex Team
