A very special wedding fundraiser for Headway Sussex 💙
We are incredibly honoured that Alex and Emily have chosen to support Headway Sussex as part of their wedding celebrations this June.
Instead of traditional wedding gifts, they have asked their guests to donate to our charity. We truly cannot thank them enough for choosing to support us in such a meaningful and personal way.
In their own words:
“We aren’t wanting wedding gifts or money, we are wanting donations to save more lives with brain injuries after accidents! An amazing charity and one very close to my heart.”
Emily shared how brain injury has personally affected her family:
“In January 2018 as a family we nearly lost the man who showed us great strength and resilience… my Dad.”
Because of this experience, Alex and Emily are using their wedding to help others who are facing similar life changing moments. As they wrote on their page:
“We would love for everyone here today to donate to this amazing charity to help continue support during and after life changing events. There is never too little or large donation when it comes to a charity like this.”
Fundraising like this is incredibly special and increasingly important.
Charities like Headway Sussex rely on the generosity of individuals, families and communities to continue supporting people living with the life changing effects of brain injury.
Every donation helps us provide vital services across Sussex including rehabilitation activities, support groups, guidance for families and opportunities for people to rebuild confidence and independence after brain injury.
