Exciting News: Headway Sussex Expands Further into West Sussex!
Good Afternoon,
We are thrilled to share some exciting news from Headway Sussex!
Our services have now expanded further into West Sussex, and we have some wonderful updates to share with you.
Introducing Davina, Our New Hospital Liaison Service
We are pleased to welcome Davina, our new Hospital Liaison Service based at
St. Richard’s Hospital, Chichester.
Davina brings personal experience as a brain injury caregiver and is an expert in her field. She is here to provide guidance and support to individuals admitted with a brain injury and their families or caregivers, offering compassion and understanding of the complexities of brain injuries.
Her presence at St. Richard’s Hospital ensures that patients and their families receive the support they need right from the outset of their journey.
The Importance of Charity Partnerships
Our mission at Headway Sussex is made possible through the generosity and support of our charity partners.
One such invaluable partner is George Ide, a leading firm of solicitors in West Sussex. George Ide plays a crucial role in supporting our mission by providing essential funding and resources and thanks to their generous funding, we have been able to expand our Hospital Liaison Service in West Sussex.
Their commitment to our cause enables us to expand our services and reach more individuals in need. George Ide is not just a sponsor; they are a true partner in our mission to improve the lives of those affected by brain injuries.
Understanding Brain Injury
Brain injuries can have a profound impact on individuals and their families. They can affect cognitive functions, physical abilities, emotions, and behavior, making everyday tasks challenging and often overwhelming.
At Headway Sussex, we understand the multifaceted nature of brain injuries and are dedicated to providing comprehensive support that addresses these complexities.
Our services are designed to help individuals regain independence and improve their quality of life, while also offering much-needed support to their families.
Our Expanded Services
Our Hospital Liaison Service is available to individuals aged 18 and above who have been diagnosed with a brain injury, along with their families.
This service ensures that patients and their families have access to expert guidance, emotional support, and practical assistance during their hospital stay and beyond.
In addition to our Hospital Liaison Service, we have three active support groups in Crawley, Bognor Regis, and Worthing. These groups are vital for the community of people living with brain injuries, their family members, and professionals. They provide a safe and supportive environment where individuals can share experiences, gain insights, and build meaningful connections.
Support groups play a crucial role in reducing feelings of isolation and promoting mental well-being.
Our Vision for the Future
Headway Sussex is always working towards expanding our reach and services even further. We are committed to supporting more individuals and families affected by brain injuries across Sussex. Our vision is to create a network of support that extends to every corner of our community, ensuring that no one has to face the challenges of a brain injury alone.
How You Can Help
We invite you to join us in our mission to support those affected by brain injuries. Whether through volunteering, donations, or spreading the word about our services, your involvement can make a significant difference.
Together, we can create a stronger, more supportive community for individuals and families dealing with brain injuries.
Thank you for your continued support.
Kind Regards
Headway Sussex
