Headway Sussex Supports Carers Week: Caring About Equality đź’™
Headway Sussex is proud to support Carers Week, which runs from June 9th to June 15th. This year’s theme is ‘Caring About Equality’, highlighting the inequalities faced by unpaid carers.
Carers Week is an annual campaign that raises awareness of caring, highlights the challenges unpaid carers face, and recognises the contributions they make to families and communities throughout the UK. It also helps people who may not identify as carers to access much-needed support.
Carers truly are the unsung heroes among us.
Every day, carers sacrifice so much—often putting their own needs, careers, and personal lives on hold—to provide vital support to loved ones living with brain injuries. Their dedication and selflessness make a world of difference, yet it can come at a cost to their own health, finances, and wellbeing.
Headway Sussex offers various services to support carers, including  support groups, family and carer support, information, and counselling.
We host several support groups throughout Sussex, both in person and online every month:
-
Eastbourne: Every first Wednesday of the month, 7-9pm
-
Crawley: Every first Wednesday of every month. 11am-1pm
