Thriving After Brain Injury: Join Us at the Brighton & Hove Ageing Well Festival
As we grow older, taking care of both our physical and mental wellbeing becomes increasingly important.
For individuals living with brain injuries, the challenges of ageing can be even more complex. That’s why Headway Sussex is thrilled to participate in this year’s Brighton & Hove Ageing Well Festival, celebrating healthy ageing and offering resources for people from all walks of life.
One of the most impactful events we are hosting at the festival is:
How to Thrive After Brain Injury
- 📅 Tuesday, 1st October
- ⏰ 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
- 📍 Wayfield Avenue Resource Centre, 2 Wayfield Ave, Hove BN3 7LW
- 🎟 £1 entry – Book your spot now by visiting this link or email sam.shephard@headwaysussex.org.uk to secure your place!
Why Attend?
Brain injury, whether caused by trauma, stroke, or another incident, presents unique challenges throughout a person’s life, particularly as they age. Over time, individuals may experience changes in mobility, cognition, and emotional health, making it harder to maintain their independence and quality of life. But it doesn’t have to be this way.
At this event, we’ll explore practical strategies for managing the ongoing effects of brain injury, with a special focus on:
- Maintaining cognitive function and brain health as we age.
- Managing physical limitations and adapting your lifestyle to stay active.
- Building emotional resilience and fostering mental wellbeing.
“How to Thrive After Brain Injury” is designed to be an informative and supportive session, offering expert insights and a safe space to share experiences with others who understand. Whether you have experienced a brain injury yourself, or you care for a loved one who has, this session will provide valuable tools for navigating the ageing process with confidence and grace.
