🎨 A Creative Success – Lindfield Arts Exhibition Raises £800 & a Christmas 2025 Donation!
Hello,
On Saturday 27th September, we were delighted to welcome supporters, friends, and members of the local community to join us at the Lindfield Arts Festival Exhibition – and what a fantastic day it turned out to be!
Thanks to the generosity of those who came along, the event raised an incredible £800 through the sale of artwork, teas, coffees, and cakes, as well as new supporters signing up as regular donors.
Every penny raised will go towards helping us continue our vital work with people living with brain injury across Sussex. 💙
Even more exciting, an employee from Harbeth Audio Ltd was so impressed by our clients’ work and our charity that they have added Headway Sussex to their Christmas 2025 funding list – more on this to follow in the coming months! 💙
But this event was about much more than fundraising!
For many of our clients, art is a powerful part of their road to recovery. Picking up a paintbrush, sketching a scene, or experimenting with colour provides not only a chance for creativity, but also:
✨ Therapeutic benefits – supporting wellbeing, reducing anxiety, and giving clients space to express themselves.
✨ Cognitive rehabilitation – helping with concentration, memory, and problem-solving in an enjoyable and non-pressured way.
✨ Confidence and connection – building pride in achievements and enabling clients to share their talents with the wider community.
Seeing our clients’ artwork displayed and celebrated in Lindfield was a reminder of the strength and resilience within our community.
This event would not have been possible without the dedication of our amazing volunteers and staff, who helped everything run smoothly, and with special thanks to Hilary Bennet from Lindfield Arts Festival for her guidance and support. Together, their hard work created a truly uplifting day.
We would also like to thank everyone who joined us, supported us, and helped make the day such a success.
At Headway Sussex, we exist purely on donations. It is the generosity of our supporters that enables us to offer creative opportunities, practical support, and life-changing services to those affected by brain injury.
Events like the Lindfield Arts Festival Exhibition show just how powerful community kindness can be.
Together, we are making a difference and ensuring those affected by brain injury can continue to access creative, life-changing opportunities.
💙 Thank you for standing with us.
Kind regards
The Headway Sussex Team
