ABI Awareness Week đź’™

As ABI Awareness Week comes to a close, we want to say a heartfelt thank you for following, sharing, and supporting our campaign this week.

This year’s theme – “Isolation After Brain Injury” – has highlighted something we see every day at Headway Sussex: that the impact of brain injury goes far beyond the injury itself.

Throughout the week, we’ve explored how ABI can affect friendships, family relationships, confidence, communication, and everyday connection. For many people, these changes can lead to isolation that is often invisible but deeply felt.

At Headway Sussex, we support people living with acquired brain injury every day to rebuild confidence, independence, and connection at their own pace. We also support carers, families, and friends who are navigating these changes alongside them.

Through our community-based services across Sussex, we create safe spaces where people feel understood, included, and less alone.

ABI Awareness Week may be ending, but our work continues all year round.

No one should have to face brain injury or its effects in isolation đź’™

Thank you for being part of raising awareness with us this week.

Your support helps us reach more people and continue making a real difference across Sussex.

With thanks,
The Headway Sussex Team đź’™
