Joanna & Lola’s 33 mile walk across the Downs!

Hello,

We are thrilled to share the incredible achievement of Joanna Burdett and her loyal therapy dog, Lola, who successfully completed a challenging 33-mile walk across the stunning, yet tough, South Downs this past weekend.

Battling through rainy and windy weather, their determination shone through, and together they raised an astounding £670 to support Headway Sussex.

Joanna and Lola’s dedication to our cause has left us deeply moved.

Rain or shine, they persevered and showed what can be accomplished with commitment and heart. Poor Lola became lame on the first day and couldn’t continue at mile 18, so Joanna had to carry her the rest of the way.

To show our gratitude for this tremendous effort, our clients at our Newick Hub gathered to create a heartfelt, handmade thank you card. This special card was presented to Joanna in person as a token of our appreciation for her unwavering support and Lola’s wonderful companionship as a therapy dog.

At Headway Sussex, fundraising is at the heart of what allows us to continue offering essential services to individuals living with the effects of brain injury. Every pound raised helps sustain our work and enables us to reach more people in need.

Without the generosity of incredible individuals like Joanna, and their creative fundraising efforts, we would struggle to provide the level of care that our community relies on.

If you would still like to support Joanna and Lola’s fundraising journey, there is still time!
