Meet Nick – our London Marathon runner

On Sunday 2nd October 2022, Nick Maxwell will be running the TCS London Marathon to raise money for Headway Sussex. We’re very grateful to him for dedicating his time to his training and to you for supporting his fundraising.

Who are Headway Sussex?

We are a specialist charity covering East Sussex, Brighton & Hove and expanding further into West Sussex. We support people living with a brain injury, including their family carers.

A brain injury can be caused by a stroke, infection, sporting injury, assault or trauma. It can be life-changing for the person involved and also their immediate family. Roles and responsibilities can change overnight and everyday tasks can become challenging.

Why Headway Sussex?

Nick has a relative who is a Trustee at Headway Sussex and is aware of the work Headway does to support people within their communities. He has raised funds for Headway Sussex in the past through sporting events but this is his first time taking part in the London Marathon. He’s hoping to make it memorable for him and worthwhile for Headway Sussex.

How can you help?

Could your company sponsor Nick? In return we will add your company logo onto the running top he’ll be wearing on the day and include your logo on blog posts and social media posts in the run up and after the event.

For £250 premium sponsorship, we will print your company logo in one of the larger slots

For £150 sponsorship, we will print your company logo in one of the smaller slots.

There are two ways you can donate:

Via Nick’s sponsorship page. Most donations here will also benefit from an additional Gift Aid contribution.

Via bank transfer, using the reference ‘London Marathon’ so we can easily trace your donation.

HSBC: Sort code: 40-28-15 ∙  Account no. 11314815 ∙  Account name: Headway Sussex

Then finally, please email us by Wednesday 21 September to confirm your donation, to share your social media handles so we can tag you online and send your company logo (jpg or png file).

Thank you for supporting Nick!

Your donation is much appreciated and will make a difference to people living with a brain injury across Sussex.
