Mick Craker Raises an Incredible Β£5,000 for Headway Sussex
We are delighted to share our thanks to Mick Craker, who chose Headway Sussex as his Charity of the Year during his Masonic year and has raised an incredible Β£5,000 to support our work.
Mick has experienced a brain injury himself and is a regular attendee at our Worthing Support Group. Having experienced first-hand the value of peer support and the opportunity to connect with others living with brain injury, Mick was keen for his fundraising to directly benefit our support groups.
As part of his donation, Mick has specifically chosen to help support the ongoing running of our Worthing Support Group, as well as providing a brand-new laptop for Helen, who facilitates the group. The laptop will be a valuable resource in helping Helen plan and deliver the sessions and support the groupβs activities.
Last Thursday, Mick joined the Worthing Support Group to officially hand over his Β£5,000 cheque and the new laptop to Helen. It was a lovely opportunity to celebrate his fundraising achievement with the very people who will benefit from his generosity.
Raising Β£5,000 is an outstanding achievement, and we are incredibly grateful to Mick for choosing Headway Sussex as his Charity of the Year and for putting so much time and effort into supporting our work.
Donations like this help us to continue providing vital support to people living with acquired brain injury and their families across Sussex. Our support groups provide a welcoming space where people can meet others with similar experiences, build friendships, share experiences and access ongoing support.
A huge thank you to Mick for his incredible fundraising and for helping us to continue making a difference to people affected by brain injury across Sussex.
Thank you, Mick! π
Best Wishes
The Headway Sussex Team
