Welcoming our new CEO, Sally Brighton-Kelby πŸ’™

We’re delighted to welcome Sally Brighton-Kelby as the new Chief Executive Officer of Headway Sussex.

Sally joins us with more than 20 years of senior leadership experience across the charity sector and a strong connection to Sussex, having lived here for most of her working life.

Most recently, Sally was Director of Development at Young Epilepsy, a Surrey-based charity, and before that she was Director of Income Generation at Martlets Hospice in Hove. Throughout her career, she has led teams, developed new partnerships, secured significant funding and helped charities grow and strengthen their services.

Sally is passionate about making sure the people charities support are at the heart of what they do. She believes strongly in involving clients in the development and delivery of services, ensuring their voices are heard and their experiences help shape the support they receive.

She also brings extensive experience of working with volunteers, developing high-performing teams, building community engagement and using fundraising, marketing and communications to help charities reach more people.

As Sally starts her new role with us, she is looking forward to getting to know the Headway Sussex community – our clients and families, staff, volunteers, supporters and partners – and learning more about the work that makes such a difference to people living with acquired brain injury across Sussex.

Sally is excited to help shape the next chapter for Headway Sussex, with a future-focused vision built around empathy, expertise and hope.

Please join us in giving Sally a very warm welcome to Headway Sussex! πŸ’™
