🏌️‍♂️ £755 raised for Headway Sussex by the Pink Jacket Golf Society 💙

Hello,

We are delighted to share that the Pink Jacket Golf Society has raised £755 to support people living with brain injuries across Sussex.

The society was formed in 2012 by eight old school friends determined to stay connected despite living across the country (from Scotland to the South West.) Each year, they reunite for three rounds of golf, mixing friendly competition with fundraising for a charity chosen by the previous year’s winner.

Funds are raised in a unique way – through ‘fines’ for various golfing mishaps. These can be as little as 50p for losing a golf ball, or £10 for purchasing extra handicap shots! This year’s tour, held in Mallorca, raised their best total yet.

The 2025 charity choice was made by Andrew Brady, whose mother-in-law, Janice, sustained a brain injury following encephalitis in 2018.

💙 “I have witnessed first-hand the difference Headway Sussex have made for Janice,” Andrew said. “They provide a safe and supportive environment where she enjoys activities she loves. I know they rely solely on donations, so I wanted whatever we raised to go a long way to helping others.”

Although Andrew didn’t take home the Pink Jacket this year – finishing 6th out of 8 – the group is already looking forward to their 14th Pink Jacket Tour in 2026.

We are so grateful for the generosity and community spirit of the Pink Jacket Golf Society. Every penny raised will help us continue to provide life-changing support for brain injury survivors.
