Today is World Suicide Prevention Day – a day to remind ourselves of the importance of talking, listening and making sure people know they are not alone.
For someone living with an acquired brain injury, life can change dramatically. Changes to independence, relationships, employment, communication, confidence and identity can all be difficult to adjust to. These challenges can sometimes lead to feelings of isolation, frustration or hopelessness.
At Headway Sussex, we know how important connection and understanding can be.
Our support groups, activities, counselling and helpline provide people affected by brain injury with somewhere to turn – a place where they can talk openly, meet others who understand and access specialist support. 💙
Sometimes, having someone who listens and understands can make a real difference.
If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out. You don’t have to face things alone.
